Our Story

Rose, our founder, has always been deeply passionate about the exquisite and time-honored traditions of Vietnam's craftsmanship. During a trip back to Vietnam in 2023, she made a point to visit her best friend who resides in Bat Trang, Hanoi - a village celebrated for its rich ceramic heritage, a legacy that has known for over a thousand years.

Exploring this vibrant craft scene with her friend, she crossed paths with the master artisan, Mrs. Vu Nhu Quynh, the creative force behind Van An Loc studio. Rose was spellbound by Mrs. Vu's meticulous craftsmanship, her vibrant palette, and her innovative 3-D techniques. Each piece seemed to tell a story, and Rose couldn't help but be drawn into this world of beauty and skill.

Upon returning home, fueled by her husband Peter's encouragement, Rose knew she had to share this passion with the world. Thus, the seeds of ArtisanAura were sown in 2024—a venture dedicated to celebrating Vietnam's rich artistic heritage.

Today, we at ArtisanAura take pride in showcasing the mastery of Vietnamese artisans, bringing their stunning creations into homes around the globe. It's more than just business for us; it's a heartfelt tribute to the artisans who breathe life into their craft, and a journey of cultural connection that continues to inspire us every day.

Vietnam's Ceramic Heritage A Millennium of Mastery

Bat Trang, Hanoi

Bat Trang ceramic village is located in Hanoi, Vietnam. According to historical records, this traditional craft village was established in the 14th - 15th centuries, during the Ly dynasty. The founding of Bat Trang ceramic village can be attributed to five renowned ceramic families: Tran, Vuong, Nguyen, Le, and Pham. These families brought skilled artisans to the capital city of Thang Long (now Hanoi) to develop their craft.
